In Montreal, Alain owned several successful businesses as he completed his first of three graduate degrees before coming to Toronto, as a Fellow of Massey College, to pursue his Ph.D. degree at the University of Toronto. Upon finishing his studies, Alain founded Cogan Financial Capital with a focus on helping entrepreneurs navigate the complex tax-structures they faced.
